Outline: Project 2026 Strategic Response to Project 2025

I have little interest in sitting back and watching the Trump Musk train derail our government. I’m promoting Project 2026 as the answer to what is already going on, what will go on, how to get ready for the April 1st special elections, and then using the November 2026 election to take the House and Senate away from Maga Republicans.

Solutions

In my life I have learned to beware of being seduced by imagined solutions for a problem. What happens is your solution becomes the problem and when solved does not solve the original problem. For instance, if we could raise enough money to fund the Harris Waltz run they will win. We did and yet they lost. Or that the woman voting the get back control of their bodies will save us. They didn’t.

So here we are. Why Project 2026? First, I think everyone who cares will recognize it as the answer to Project 2025. It is an organizing vehicle for all the things we will need to do to stop what is happening.

I. Introduction and Objectives

  • Objective:

    • Formulate a comprehensive response that addresses the proposals in Project 2025.

    • Ensure the security of team members involved in analyzing and countering the plan.

    • Develop clear, evidence-based counterpoints to each section of the plan.

  • Context Overview:

    • Summarize the key components of Project 2025.

    • Identify the core issues you intend to challenge (policy, security, impact on civil liberties, etc.).

II. Security Measures for Personnel

  • Security Protocols:

    • Ensure all team communications are secured using encrypted channels.

    • Develop protocols for handling sensitive documents and internal discussions.

  • Physical Security:

    • If meetings are held in person, ensure venues are secure and access is controlled.

  • Digital Security:

    • Use secure storage for documents (e.g., encrypted cloud storage, password-protected files).

    • Regularly update cybersecurity measures and educate team members on best practices.

  • Confidentiality Agreements:

    • Have all team members sign NDAs and security agreements to protect the planning process.

III. Content Analysis and Counterargument Development

  • Comprehensive Review:

    • Divide the over-1000-page plan among subject-matter experts for thorough review.

    • Identify and document every key claim and policy proposal.

  • Data and Evidence Collection:

    • Gather relevant statistics, case studies, and historical precedents to counter each point.

    • Use independent and reputable sources for research.

  • Developing Counterarguments:

    • Organize counterpoints by theme or section of the plan.

    • For each point, clearly state:

      • The claim in Project 2025.

      • Your analysis and evidence-based counterpoint.

      • Potential risks or negative consequences if the proposal were implemented.

  • Expert Consultation:

    • Engage policy experts, legal advisors, and subject matter experts for review and feedback on your counterarguments.

    • Consider public opinion research if applicable.

IV. Communication Strategy

  • Message Development:

    • Craft clear, concise messages for public statements, social media, and press releases.

    • Emphasize key points such as the protection of democratic values, security concerns, and potential negative impacts.

  • Outreach and Engagement:

    • Identify target audiences (e.g., community leaders, media, legislative bodies) and tailor messages accordingly.

    • Plan for coordinated releases of information, possibly in collaboration with allies or advocacy groups.

  • Crisis Management:

    • Prepare responses for counterarguments from supporters of Project 2025.

    • Establish a rapid response team to address emerging issues in the public discourse.

V. Implementation Timeline and Review

  • Timeline Development:

    • Set realistic deadlines for each phase of the response plan.

    • Create milestones for internal reviews, drafting public documents, and launching outreach efforts.

  • Feedback Loop:

    • Schedule regular review meetings to assess progress and adjust strategies as necessary.

    • Maintain open communication channels with legal and security advisors for ongoing guidance.

VI. Legal and Compliance Considerations

  • Legal Review:

    • Ensure all public statements and materials comply with relevant laws and regulations.

    • Have legal counsel review your strategy and content before public release.

  • Documentation:

    • Keep detailed records of all planning meetings, decisions, and security measures for accountability and future reference.

Final Note

This outline is intended as a framework for thinking through our strategic response. Depending on the specifics of Project 2026 and the legal and political environment, we will need to adjust or expand this plan significantly. Engaging professionals in political strategy, cybersecurity, legal affairs, and public communications is highly recommended.

If you have read this far and are interested in getting involved let me know. DalLaMagna@gmail.com.of Oyster Bay, receiving 42% of the vote. He mounted another Congressional bid in 2000 against Peter King on similar progressive lines, again earning 42% of the vote managing to do that spending only $250,000.

Frustrated by the limits of the electoral process, in 2001 he enrolled in the Kennedy School of Government’s MPA program at Harvard, graduating as a Littauer Fellow—a period that broadened his perspective and renewed his commitment to public service.

In 2002, Dal founded the Progressive Government Institute (PGI), investing over $1 million to create an online model of the Executive Branch that cataloged 6,000 presidential appointees. This non-partisan organization was designed to enhance transparency and accountability in government. That same year, he joined Threshold, a collective of wealthy progressives dedicated to leveraging philanthropy for social and economic justice.

In 2003 Dal became involved in Robert Reich’s gubernatorial campaign in Massachusetts and was a founding member of the Democracy Alliance—a group of influential progressive activists focused on research, training, and outreach. By 2004, his commitment to peace had deepened. Dal turned his attention to ending the violence of the Iraq War, participating in a peace delegation to Amman, Jordan, where he met with Iraqi Members of Parliament, sheiks, and torture survivors on a “Listen to Iraqis” mission. That year, he also provided operational funding for Code Pink, forging alliances with prominent activists like Jodie Evans and Medea Benjamin, and collaborated with Tom Hayden to oppose the war while financing Cindy Sheehan’s Bus Tour.

After moving to Poulsbo, Washington State in 2004, Dal briefly challenged Senator Maria Cantwell in a primary in 2006. However, after intervention by Senator Schumer and a meeting with Senator Cantwell resulting in her agreeing to confer with Tom Hayden and changing her stand about Iraq he withdrew from the race and instead served as Cantwell’s Campaign Chair, managing media production and quelling protests by Code Pink.

Dal’s work during the Iraq War further defined his role as a citizen diplomat. In 2006 and 2007, he joined peace delegations in Jordan and collaborated with Congressman Jim McDermott, producing video presentations and orchestrating a live videoconference between U.S. Congress members and Iraqi parliamentarians. He also served as executive producer on several Iraq War documentaries, including “The Ground Truth,” “The War Tapes,” “Iraq For Sale,” and “Meeting Resistance,” deepening public understanding of the conflict’s human cost.

In 2008, Dal ran for President in the New Hampshire Democratic Primary—a campaign marked by creative grassroots efforts—and later continued his engagement in electoral politics by running for Congress in 2018 as an Independent under the banner of “Hudson Valley Happiness.” His progressive activism also found him a place on Bernie Sanders’ Business Advisory Council in 2020.

Throughout his career, Dal has maintained a robust presence on television talk shows, holding his own against seasoned pundits such as Stuart Varney and Lou Dobbs. Beyond his electoral endeavors, he has served on numerous boards and advisory groups, including the Center for Congress, Bainbridge Graduate Institute, and the Dean’s Council at Harvard’s Kennedy School. His work as a blogger for The Huffington Post and his involvement with organizations such as the Social Venture Network have cemented his reputation as a committed advocate for transparency, peace, and progressive reform.

Today, Dal LaMagna lives in Rhinebeck, New York, and maintains a second home in New York City. His life reflects a deep and multifaceted commitment to reimagining government, advocating for peace, and using his extensive network to drive progressive change on both the national and international stages.
